Information for ALL 2016 FALL Athletes & their Parents/Guardian
The Seekonk High School's Athletic Department will be hosting the
MIAA MANDATORY FALL Pre-Season Meeting,
on Monday, August 1st, 2016 @ 6:30 PM,
in the Seekonk High School Auditorium.
Important Message from the Athletic Director
The MANDATORY Fall Sports Pre-Season Meeting for all Student-Athletes and
their Parents /Guardian will be held on Monday August 1st and will begin promptly at 6:30 PM in the SHS Auditorium. There will be a brief presentation on important information that everyone attending will need to know. After the presentation coaches from all of the Fall Sports Teams will be available to meet with their respective team's student-athletes and their parents.
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association "MIAA" requires that all of it's
membership school's Athletic Departments, host a SEASONAL MANDATORY Pre-Season
Athletic Department Meeting. This meeting is designed to be an informative meeting, for that sports season's athletes, their parents and the coaching staff. The meeting will consist of a review
of the MIAA's, and the Seekonk High School's Athletic Departments Policies and Procedures.
It will also be an opportunity for that sports season's coaches to meet their athletes
and their parents. Plus coaches can review the individual team rules and expectations.
The First Official day of practice for the Fall Sports Season
BEGINS on the following dates:
Friday, August 19, 2016 => (Football & Cheerleading)
Thursday, August 25, 2016 => (Boys & Girls Soccer, Girls Field Hockey,
Girls Volleyball, Golf, & Cross Country)
NOTE: Any Student-Athlete wanting to participate on the first day of team practice, needs to have their Athletic Registration Forms,
Completed & Submitted by Monday, August 15, 2016.
The Seekonk Athletic Boosters Club, is looking for parents & friends of athletes,
that would like to get involved with the Athletic Boosters Club.
